I have had mugger sluggers for many years (I reorder them every 2 years). I attach the small one to my key chain and it makes me feel secure when I am going places in the evening. I also have the larger pro version in my night stand drawer. If anyone breaks into my home, I can knock the intruder out. This is a wonderful product and I have even given them as gifts!
As soon as I found out about Mugger Slugger, I knew I needed one, as on 3 dog walks with my pups, I was charged at by owners' dogs off leash in the street. So, now, I carry one in my bag on walks.

When I arrived at the house it seemed safe. I walked to the other side of the house to try and look in the back yard, a pit bull came viciously came running at me from the other neighbors yard. There was a four foot chain link fence between us, and it jumped right over it. I turned my back on it, bracing for the attack and it bit me right in the butt. Thank God it let go.
I was holding my keys with my mugger slugger on it and before I turned around, I got my finger in the spray position and pointed it at the dog. The dog stopped in its tracks.
